Job Description-

Apex Systems has an opportunity available with a major financial client. We are looking for a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst in Charlotte, NC. Below is the responsibilities and requirements for the position.

High level responsibilities

1) Gain SME in application and systems functionality

2) Testing of of new features in SIT,

3) Coordination with internal and QA team on current releases, assist QA with user acceptance testing.

4) Analyzing and helping to finalize the requirements

5) Documenting FSDs,

6) Documenting multiple solutions for a given requirement working with lead

7) Production/customer issues - Communicate progressive and final updates to business partners, work with support team

Background:

• Someone who was a part developer and part Project Manager, but not focused on doing either role since this is a combination of these roles
• Good understanding of technologies (preferably Java, J2EE)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Tracking of change requests, sizing, Business Requirements and Functional Design documents
• Background with complex systems and integration testing
• Strong Analysis skills
• Ability to produce Functional Design documents
• Background with Java/ J2EE technologies a plus
• Banking or financial background is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Creation of Functional System Design Documentation
• Become SME on the functional aspects of the systems
• Coordination with internal and cross functional teams including but not restricted to project management, the application architect, the application tech lead, development leads, business analysts, QA, product management, service partners and other technology partners.
• Participate in the integration testing of the release; assist QA with user acceptance testing.
• Tracking of change requests, sizing, Business Requirements and Functional Design documents
• Guide and lead team of system analyst
• Analyze the requirements to identify impact, scoping, design.
• Lead the production support team's resolution of customer-reported and functional issues
• Review Business Requirement Documents, FSDs submitted by upstream systems, design documents, test plans and other project artifacts for accuracy and completeness.
• Represent the application team in project meetings.
• Review the FSD with all key stakeholders, and acquire stakeholder approvals.
• Request test data from appropriate teams for both functional and performance testing; verify that submitted test decks meet expectations.
