Business Analyst III is responsible for leading the functional requirements gathering team. The candidate is responsible for requirements elicitation and requirements writing to support project SDLC releases. The candidate works directly with internal customers to understand the business environment and needs. Identifies relevant design, process and specification issue. Assess business operations and processes of assigned office or business unit to identify inefficiencies in procedures, information flows and handoffs, decisions, communications pathways and ways in which systems supporting these can be enhanced.
· Participate in meetings and projects with staff, project managers, and business partners to gain understanding of the project, data issues, risks and application data gaps, pull data and provide analysis and insights in order to provide reports and recommendations
· Provide support to applications in production by tracking production problems and troubleshooting them to sustain application in production..
Required skills:
Very strong Business Analysis experience with large, extremely complex systems (experience with cash related applications is highly desirable)
Significant experience with requirements capture, analysis and solutions specifications is required.
Experience developing queries, analyses, or reports from applications for operations or management staff of assigned business unit(s), developing specifications for complex queries or analyses to be performed by others.
Ability to create, document and/or follow process flows
3+ years of project management experience. PMP certification is a plus.
Experienced with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the preparation of SDLC related documents
Analytical business background and demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and deliver sound analysis, solutions and business intelligence
Superior communication skills (both verbal and written) and proven ability to liaise with business users, developers, stakeholder analysts and management
Solid organization, negotiation, analysis skills with demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and be effective and decisive under pressure
Highly self-driven, self-organized, able to work independently and with cross functional teams to deliver results
Demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and be effective and decisive under pressure, project management oriented.
Ability to collaborate, influence and solve difficult problems, combining the ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
Financial Services and/or Mortgage Industry knowledge and experience
Experience with DOORS
Prior experience and understanding of Data Management standards, policies and tools
Knowledge of Collibra or other Data Management and Governance tools
Strong working knowledge of SQL
Experience working with TOAD
Experience with Oracle Databases
Understanding of technologies and systems such as: Web applications,
Databases, Middleware, cloud computing
