Required Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Usability Engineering, or Information Design plus 2 years experience. Certification in Usability plus 4 years experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree. Advanced degree is a plus
Job Description :
Coordinate User Experience Research activities for products and websites. These activities include, but are not limited to, identifying the appropriate user experience research activities; designing, planning and implementing these activities.
User Experience Research
Research and analyze applications and websites to determine appropriate user experience research activities
Conduct user experience research activities such as usability tests, card sorts, surveys, focus groups, and interviews for complex products and websites
Conduct user experience recruiting activities, such as:
Write recruiting e-mails
Use, update, and maintain the participant database
Arrange facility rentals
Contact potential participants
Schedule participants
Work with business partners for contact names
Prepare participant screeners
Conduct user experience activity tasks, such as:
Set up and run meetings
Prepare and distribute meeting notes
Determine the appropriate user experience research task
Write the proposal
Create the research materials
Gather and analyze the activity results
Collaborate with User Engineering Services to determine recommendations (if applicable)
Write result report and conduct presentation to project team
Analyze usability activity results and provide feedback to the project team
Create and deliver proposals, reports, and presentations on time and with the highest quality
Create and conduct project-related presentations to outside functional groups that are clear, concise and professional. Review presentations of others and provide feedback
Coordinate conference activities
Follow established department processes and department/project standards
Track problems during the course of a project and report resolutions to User Experience Research organization
Evaluate new tools (hardware and software)
Review new industry research
