Experis is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / SQL Developer for a contract position with one of our leading clients in Reston, Virginia - Manager will require a F2F Interview so candidates must be local to the area. 

The Senior Data Analyst / SQL Developer will design and develop datasets and reusable code for use by researchers, data scientists, and analysts. Responsibilities include collecting, profiling, analyzing, matching, and transforming large datasets, performing quality assurance, and creating documentation for the code and the datasets. This individual will also need to perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required. 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 
-5+ years of experience in the database design and development using SQL and PL/SQL 
-Understanding of how data should be structured for various types of analyses 
-Experience creating automated or semi-automated scripts 
-Ability to read data models 
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
-Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines 
-Strong problem solving and analytic skills 
-Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills 

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: 
-Experience with Amazon Redshift is a huge plus 
-Experience with Oracle and SQL Server 
-In addition to having SQL experience, the Analyst / Developer must be able to analyze data, write-up their analysis for business and IT audiences, and QC the data
