Job description:
Experience Requirements:
· Should have at least 6-8 years’ experience with 4-5 years as a DBA
· Should have demonstrated the ability to work independently with customer
· Self-motivated lead who can interact and manage customer expectations
Skills needed (essential):
· Experience in Oracle 10G with some level of support and DBA activities (like patch management, monitoring, SQL tuning, capacity mgmt etc)
· SQL Server knowledge and experience as a secondary skill in SQL 2014 or SQL 2012
· Experience with Quest products like Quest Central, Quest Foglight, Quest Litespeed and Toad are a definite plus.
· Knowledge of insurance industry (optional / preferred)
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
· Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
· Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
Work Expectation:
• Will be involved in SQL server upgrade – move to 2014 version from older 2012, 2008 and 2005 versions
• Oracle: Application driven project work/needs, performance tuning and other generic DBA requests
