Required Skills: Linux
Support four high profile Lamp applications through SDLC
Liaise between the Development Team and the Cloud Team to ensure application environments and deployments adhere to Cloud standards and strategic direction
Leverage advanced listening, speaking, and writing skills to participate in critical conversations
Troubleshoot and problem solve for he four applications
Participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot critical issues
Required Candidate Characteristics:
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent years of work experience)
Professional communication and presentation skills
2+ years of solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in 24x7 uptime environment
2+ years of supporting LAMP applications in Linux environments
1+ years of supporting Drupal applications
1+ years of supporting Wordpress applications
1+ years of supporting Memcached (preferably AWS Elasticache)
1+ years of supporting MySQL databases for Drupal applications (preferably AWS RDS)
1+ years of supporting web applications that use a CDN (preferably AWS Cloudfront)
3+ years of authoring Linux shell scripts
2+ years of creating and maintaining Jenkins jobs (particularly Freeform jobs that execute shell scripts)
1+ years of deploying Lamp applications in the cloud (preferably AWS EC2 running AWS Linux)
1+ years of working GitHub private repositories
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Experience in working on teams using Agile(Scrum, Lean, XP, etc.) and/or traditional (RUP, waterfall, etc.)
