Job Description

A leading supply-chain-management organization is looking to make an addition to their Telecomengineering team. The Telecom Engineer will be joining the unified Communications team (made up of 3 people – 2 admins and themanager) to help in supportingclient issues. Tickets navigate through the lvl 1-2 support team, and then are the responsibility of the Telecom Engineering team. The team supports the following apps and functions: Voice (Avaya and Cisco), faxing - Rightfax, PBX, Short Message Service (SMS -for data and reports), Genesys CTI, Genesys Workforce Management (WFM), X Mediant, Microsoft Lync. A candidate does not need to have experience with all the apps above, they are primarily looking for the Avaya VOIP experience, Cisco Voice experience. Primary Purpose Responsible for the design, implementation, management and maintenance of the Unified Communications environment. Responsible for leading/managing multiple projects providing strategic and tactical planning and coordinating with users, vendors, and corporate management. Major Responsibilities

   - Architects and implements various UnifiedCommunications’ hardware and software.

   - Researches, assesses, and deploys emerging technologies.

   - Provides level 3 support for resolving issues and document corrective actions.

   - Participates in cross-functional meetings to support tactical network policy and direction.

   - Compiles metrics, key performance indicators, and policy compliance documentation.

   - Participates in 24x7 on-call rotation. Skills/Knowledge Required

   - Detail oriented with in-depth knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager, Avaya Session Manager, Avaya Enablement Server, Avaya Call Management System, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Voicemail, Microsoft Unified Messaging, and both Oracle and Audio Codes Session Border Controllers

   - Strong networking and technical skills with an emphasis on VoIP, proficient with QoS and SIP
