This candidate must be able to engineer platform upgrades and large scale system integrations with emphasis on the Citrix environment. The successful candidate will evaluate new technologies and develop departmental standard practices for Citrix systems. The candidate would be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity and performance of an enterprise wide deployment and will design, implementation and support the following core Citrix services:
Multi-farm highly available Citrix XenApp 6.5/7.5 environment
Citrix XenDesktop 5.6/7.5
Citrix Provisioning Services 6.1/7.1
Citrix Netscaler Gateway 10.1
Citrix Web Interface 5.4 and Storefront
Citrix Command Center
Citrix Insight Manager
Citrix branch repeaters
Hypervisor layers (VM and Xen Server)
RES Workspace Manager
Thinclient (embedded OS)
In addition, the successful candidate would be required to:
Collaborate with other teams
Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills Accurately maintain documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, asset inventories, topologies Ensure that the environment conforms to standards (industry and those set aside by the organization) Conduct regular health-checks on the environment Participate in the fulfillment of tier 3 service requests Ensure that efficient deployment processes and techniques are maintained for continue roll out of standardized configuration Participate in the evaluation of new features/enhancements and/or technologies that would improve user experience Design and deployment of enhancements in the environment Provide support during on-call schedule
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop in a 100+ server environment Knowledge and experience with XenApp/XenDesktop farm migration and upgrades Knowledge and experience with Profile management suite implementation: RES, Tricerat, Citrix Profile Manager Experience with Citrix server build standards, automation and provisioning Experience with implementing a remote access solution using Citrix Netscaler Gateway, including SSL VPN Experience in implementing Storefront to Windows/Mac and mobile devices Knowledge and experience with hypervisor layer (VM and Xen server) Knowledge and experience with Windows Terminal Server 2008/2012, Active Directory and Group Policy Experience in application delivery
CCEA and MCSE or MCITP
Scripting Experience: PowerShell, VBScript
