• Optimized the database performance incidents on RAC databases hosted on the Exadata and non-Exadata platform.

• Diagnosed the performance issue with tools TKPROF, 10046 & 10053 trace , Real Time SQL Monitoring, Explain plan, baselines, SQL Plan Management (SPM), SQL Tuning Advisor (STA), DBMS_MONITOR(), SQL Profile , AWR  reports, ASH reports, ADDM reports, OEM , TOAD,  Invisible Indexes etc.

• Prepared the test cases and conducted the technical talks on Oracle Database 12c features.

• Interacted with the development and architect teams to gather requirements and provided the solutions.

• Involved in process documentation for knowledge sharing across the team.

• Work with Oracle support to resolve Oracle Support Requests (SR) as necessary.

• Conducted Performance Review of Oracle Database for business critical applications with Senior Leadership team.

• Generated Statspack/AWR reports from Oracle 12c/11g database and analyzed the reports for Oracle wait events, time consuming SQL queries, table space growth, and database growth.

• Involved in SQL Query tuning and provided tuning recommendations to ERP jobs, time/CPU consuming queries

• Completed minimized the space related errors in Oracle Databases by conducting month review with Senior Management and addresses the space issues proactively.

• Provided tuning recommendations and future memory requirements to Primary DBA team to make the changes in Database like table reorg, add enough spaces to database.

• Created a purge script to remove more than one year old data.

• Participated in Oracle Golden Gate 11.2 installation, configuration and management, and supporting Bi-directional data replication.

• Upgraded golden gate from 11.1 versions to 11.2 versions on 11gR2.

• Configured High availability and setup custom monitoring through Heart beat tables using Golden Gate.

• Worked with application team for setting up conflict handlers in Golden gate.

• Used BATCHSQL, RANGE functions to improve throughput in Golden gate REPLICATES.

• Troubleshoot slow running EXTRACTS, REPLICATES and tuning.

• Performed Oracle 11g RDBMS installation, upgrade, configuration, backup, recovery, archiving & purging activities

• Involved in implementing 11g RAC (Real Application Clusters) with ASM disk on Linux servers(RHEL5), AIX 5.3.

• Duplicated RAC Databases in non-production environment through RMAN.

• Migrated database Schemas from Single instance to RAC.

• Upgraded multiple Oracle instances from version 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3.

• Involved in applying CPU/PSU patches to the databases as recommended by Engineering team

• Worked on Automatic Storage Management (ASM) for managing data in SAN.
