Job Description :
This position will allow you to work on highly confidential projects.
**The contractors will work with GIS tools. This is the most important basic qualification.
**They will look at spatial data, evaluate the quality of the data, fix any issues the data might have, and then log/create reports on the issues they find/fix.
**The reports will be simple Excel reports, something that quantifies the number and type of data issues they have fixed.
**SQL experience is a plus, as it will help with handling/pulling the data they will be looking at.
**Google, Applemaps, Tableau, and King County have employed these types of contractors, use them for sourcing candidates.
**Schedule is standard working hours, need to be onsite.
You will be responsible for using GIS tools (such as QGIS and ArcGIS) to evaluate and improving correctness of GIS data. The bulk of the evaluation will center on attribute/geometry correctness and making modifications to the same.
Basic Qualifications
1-3 years GIS experience
Proficient with a desktop GIS application (ArcGIS, QGIS, Manifold etc)
Ability to write reports
Ability to present data in an easy to understand manner
Preferred Qualifications
SQL experience
ETL experience
Experience with GIS data sources
