Responsible for identifying, defining, modeling technical application requirements, data, and distribution to satisfy the application solution in either a project or support role. Responsible for analysis and detail design of solution. Implement the architectural design in partnership with application architect practice. Includes definition of physical program units. Develops and enhances logical and physical system blueprints, technical proofs of concept, prototypes, frameworks, services and other components. May be engaged in both project and support activities including standards and process adherence.
The Multiple Asset Class (‘MAC’) Portfolio Management initiative involves the development of investment data feeds for import to a hosted vendor solution, used for calculating portfolio investment analytics and performance measurement and attribution. This role involves working within a complex data domain, and requires strong communication and analytical skills, as well as someone conversant in institutional investing concepts across a diverse range of asset classes.
We are seeking an experienced developer with strong Managed Investments domain knowledge. - SQL Server platform development and advanced sql skills are essential. - Markit EDM development expertise, particularly data-centric export creation using SQL Server as the db platform, is highly desired. - Experience interacting with managed investments front-office staff is also desired. - Experience collaborating closely with an agile/scrum team in a nimble and responsive development culture is a plus
