Job Description :
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute global content management strategy and processes within 3M businesses, countries and functions for internal website creation, updates, and site rebuild efforts for move from current IBM WebSphere platform to new SharePoint Enterprise platform
Lead and perform content audit and inventory for sites on current platform to understand and analyze current intranet landscape
Partner with project managers, site owners, and content managers to redesign and rebuild a large volume of websites onto 3Ms new platform in an aggressive timeline
Consult with internal stakeholders and clients to understand business needs and find customer-focused solutions; escalate gaps and propose new templates and components to meet client needs as required
Lead information architecture efforts associated with organizing content and relating information in a way that simplifies the 3M user experience
Fully understand client needs and purpose of site(s) to ensure usable and relevant content
Audit and evaluate existing sites to determine how content should be organized, utilizing metrics to determine if content is being used
Provide recommendations to client or writer to consolidate, eliminate or re-write pages
Lead design efforts for internal sites by leveraging standard templates and components created for the new platform
Ensure usability and relevancy of content with user-centric design and a focus on SEO
Conduct usability testing to ensure design and layout meets the needs of the clients and provides a positive end user experience
Clearly communicate content strategy and progress toward project objectives and deliverables to clients, project team, and management; escalate and/or resolve issues as needed
Develop, maintain, and enforce content guidelines for platform globally
Lead training sessions for content contributors and communications leads globally
Conduct research using site audits, site analytics, and user testing to identify gaps and opportunities to improve content and user experience
Support efforts to simplify and streamline the digital landscape
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in relevant field
5+ years experience as digital strategist
2+ years experience with leading design and UX for intranet sites, including expertise with UX concepts, design tools, and usability testing
Experience with information architecture, wire framing, prototyping, site maps, taxonomies, and other essential content strategy methods
Experience establishing new processes for site redesigns and content management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SharePoint Enterprise platform and responsive design
Prior experience performing in a digital strategist role on an intranet redesign project
Ability to provide consultation and best practice sharing to digital workplace team, including project managers, user experience leads, writers, and content strategists
Experience performing detailed content audit and inventory for intranet platform
