Job Description :
Project Management Focus
* Identify and partner with key stakeholders
* Craft and document milestones
* Oversee execution towards milestones
* Provide status updates to partners and management, both written and verbally
Technical Implementation Focus
* Learn and master the eBay infrastructure lifecycle management process and tooling
* Learn and master the eBay change management process and tooling
* Work with existing tooling to facilitate VM and workload migrations off of old gear (a mix of GUI, CLI, and API)
* Work with existing tooling to provision and onboard new gear (a mix of GUI, CLI, and API)
* Troubleshoot when automation and tooling fails and work-around as needed
* Partner with automation software development teams to accelerate troubleshooting when required
Requirements
* Successful experience leading large-scale projects
* Successful experience crafting clean and articulate documentation
* Successful experience partnering with other internal teams and individuals across multiple locations
* Successful experience meeting deadlines and driving partners to meet deadlines
* 5+ years OS administration (Ubuntu)
* 5+ years Linux OS installation and troubleshooting (DHCP, PXE, Kickstart, repo management)
* 2+ years hardware troubleshooting and remote lights-out management (Dell DRAC, HP ILO)
* 3+ years large-scale operations
* 3+ years following change management policies
* Extremely strong analytical skills to aid in data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving
* Nice to Have: 2+ years OpenStack and/or VMware administrator experience (real administration, not as a user)
* Nice to Have: 1+ years Python development experience (some of our on boarding automation is written in Python and this will aid in any needed on-boarding troubleshooting)
