Job Description :
One (1) development resource needed to participate in the development effort of building the website for a new student registration process. Assist in the full stack development of a custom website for creating a completely new student registration system. The developer will create the website and then, through the use of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), hook the web based application to VSA (Virtual Student Administration) system to build a new user interface. The website creation is estimated at a 3 month of effort by an outside contractor who specializes in that area.
The new website will enable parents to register their children for grades K through 5 and provide detailed course and scheduling information for each grade level, along with various web forms for collecting parent and student data. Parents will be able to create an account, and sign-in at any time, to add, remove and/or modify student registrations for one or more children. The website will have a clean responsive design, providing a simple user experience on desktops and all common mobile devices. The developer(s) should be proficient with the following languages and technologies: C#, T-SQL, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript (ECMAScript 5), Bootstrap 3, ASP.NET MVC 5, ASP.NET Web API 2, Knockout.js 3, jQuery, SQL Server 2014, Visual Studio 2015, and Team Foundation Server 2015. Additionally, the developer should have experience with the following concepts: Relational Database Design, REST API Design, Responsive Web Design, Scrum/Agile Methodologies.
