  • Ensure the efficient operation, administration and maintenance of corporate data network infrastructure.
  • Primary responsibilities include the monitoring of, and problem isolation of data network issues, as well as developing the existing enterprise network.
  • Work with network monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance on the network.
  • Work with vendor technical assistance centers when troubleshooting network product based issues.
  • Contribute along with senior staff on the development of large scale projects.
  • Can work independently on small/medium tasks and projects.
  • Interact with other vendors and telecommunication companies for purchases and installations.
  • Maintain data network problem management procedures, network documentation, policies, and configuration information.
  • Maintain network documentation, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Corporate security and audit regulations.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Utilization of project management tools to review progress of project and assignments and contribute to project planning and implementation.
  • Research current technology through self-training.
  • Serve as consultative resource to level 1 IT staff by assisting in problem resolution.
  • Provide instruction to peers and staff on technology changes.
  • Design, install, and maintain the enterprise network to meet the functional objectives of the business.
  • Involved with the network infrastructure, and the planning and design of enterprise local-area/wide-area network (LAN/WAN) solutions.
  • Development, administration and maintenance of LAN and WAN infrastructure
  • Support of current data network transport services, including routine maintenance, software and hardware upgrades, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize performance and adapt network design due to physical alterations and traffic requirements.
  • Ensure resiliency is implemented at crucial points in the network to guarantee maximum availability. tems
  • Research, design and implement new network related initiatives, including mandates from business areas, enterprise driven projects, relocation of personnel and installations of new enterprise sites.
  • Work along with other network engineers and IT areas on day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Research, engineer, and implement new technology and tools to increase productivity, performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technology-consulting services to customers, translating their business needs to network-based solutions.
  • Utilize project management tools to track and report on project progress and issues.
  • Serve as consultative resource to other vendors/contractors and to Customer’s IT staff by assisting in data network problem resolution, assisting with system design and integration, and recommending alternative techniques and providing training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, Information Management, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration or related role
