Job Description
We're looking for an expert with
Manual testing, Database testing and Automation testing with XML and DITA Experienced
performing DITA development roles:
- Collaborate with existing Agile development team, information architect, DITA developer, product manager, technical writers, and engineering authors. Work with business groups to define DITA markup and output requirements.
- Develop, implement, debug, and maintain DITA Open Toolkit plugins (XSLT and XSL-FO) and DITA domain and topic specializations (DTD/schema), and deploy them to the DITA content management systems and authoring tools.
- Develop and maintain methodology (and any required XSL or JavaScript code) for automated conversion ofvarious document formats and data models to DITA, and make recommendations for integrating converted content into existing DITA maps.
- Develop methodology and perform troubleshooting for bulk import of DITA and graphics files into the CMS. Provide technical expertise to help resolve issues with DITA content management and authoring tools and perform root-cause analysis.
- Work with vendors as needed to track and resolve technical issues with CMS and authoring tools.
- Experience developing on Windows platform is necessary, along with some Linux experience.
- Experience working with tool APIs is also a benefit. Individuals with strong ability to learn and explore new technologies and who are able to demonstrate good analysis and problem solving skills are preferred. You will need good programming and software engineering skills. Self-motivation, self-discipline and the ability to set personal goals and work consistently towards them in a dynamic environment will go far towards contributing to your success.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leads or participates in the Global InfoDev Applications/ContentManagement System integration (SDL)/DITA/XML/XSLT/OTK development, which includes research, new development, modification, correction oferrors, reuse, re-engineering and maintenance of Global InfoDev Applications.
- Manages or utilizes software that is built and implemented as a product, using best-in-class development process/lifecycle management.
- Gathers business requirements and participates in product definition and feature prioritization, including customer usability studies.
- Performs competitive analysis for features at a product level scope.
- Leads the testing and fixing of new or enhanced products.
- Creates technical documentation of software products/solutions. Assists with the development and review of end user and technical end user documentation.
- Drives idea generation for new software products, or for the next version of an existing product.
- Protects Intellectual property by working appropriate legal elements (ex: procurement, patents, opensource).
- Responsible for the delivery of products within budget, schedule and quality guidelines.
- Works with the team to develop, maintain, and communicate current development schedules, timelines and development status.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least
8 years of experience or a Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field with
6 years of experience in the following:
- XML development skills, specifically DTD/schema, XSLT, XSL-FO, DITA, DITA OT, DITA specialization, PDF transformation, HMTL5, Java, C++, PERL, PHP.
- Component Content Management Systems (CCMS) and DITA authoring tools
- DITA Open Toolkit plug-in development for new output formats, applying XSLT skills
- Experience converting technical documentation in Microsoft Word and Adobe FrameMaker into DITA and related data sets into DITA
- Proficient in CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Extend Script a plus.
- Experience in PHP, JSON, DITA, ArborText Editor, Xmetal, and Oxygen XML Editor, a plus.
- Experience with other content management systems and concepts is helpful
- Angular JS/JQuery/HTML5/CSS experience with developing front end applications
- Visual Studio/C#/Web API experience developing RESTFUL web services
- MSTEST for automated unit testing for Test Driven Development (TDD)
