Role : Server Analyst

Job Description :

 
Develop and implement compute solutions based on defined business requirements within a blended physical and Virtual environment.
Collects data, performs basic needs analysis and effectively communicates results to others within technical area to identify and develop new processes
Requires detailed working knowledge of server technologies of hardware, software and Operating systems, platform installations, networking/distributed computing environments, routing client/server configurations.
Demonstrates a strong bias towards service, quality and customer satisfaction; applying information on past experiences and assist other in applying these lessons to solve problems.
Requires in-depth knowledge of server hardware, software and Operating systems, platform configuration installations, networking/distributed computing environments and routing client/server configurations to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.
Responsible for the building of servers and the necessary components (hardware/software) to achieve project goals.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities
Plan, Build and Deliver server infrastructure to internal customers on a project to project basis.
Identify Scope of work, Quote out infrastructure based on Cardinal Standards and aid various application and infrastructure teams in installation and audit.
Analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing computer systems.
Identify complex technical environment issues and implement permanent resolutions to mitigate problems.
Build servers based on the designs developed by working closely with the project team to gather and interpret specifications for Server Hardware and Software.
Serves as an expert within a technical area and educates others on technical issues.
Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Work closely with project management, technical services and support group, external vendor partners, and the client to ensure a smooth implementation and transition of the servers and related products
Experience
5-9 years of experience in required technologies and qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum Education or Equivalent)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
Deep and Broad experience with Server Administration
Experience with networking technologies
Understanding of enterprise storage concepts including disk partitioning
Ability to multi-task
Excellent analytical abilities
Good co-ordination and organization skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience as an Engineer providing support for large projects from requirements through implementation
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Project with the ability to cre
