Role : Mid-range Server Mangement Professional

Location : Tallahassee,FL

Duration : 6+ Months

Rate : $50/hr on C2C(Max)

Job Description :

Skills Required:
Expert experience with Windows Server 2003 and higher.
Knowledge of Windows Server.
Knowledge of VMware physical to virtual migration techniques.
Knowledge of VMware virtualization technology.
Experience with data center cabling and server racking.
Experience with HPUX administration.
Expert Experience with Solaris or Linux administration.
Strong experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows servers, customers, clients and related technologies.
Attention to detail, consistency and thoroughness.
Proficiency with advanced Excel tools and data manipulation techniques.
Government project experience.
Knowledge of prevalent system monitoring tools and protocols (Nagios, Solarwinds, WhatsUp, SNMP).

Task List:
Perform physical to virtual activities utilizing VMware.
Migrate virtual servers from the AST North data center to the AST South data center using VMware tools.
Perform patching.
Track migration progress

Common KSAs all candidates must have:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated effective writing and documentation skills.
Knowledge of project management principles.
Ability to analyze requirements, evaluate technical options, and assess feasibility.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers and staff.

Knowledge and skill in hardware and software problem detection, isolation, and resolution.

Working knowledge of data center operations and best practices.
Experience in data center consolidation activities.
Working knowledge of common storage, backup, and compute technologies.
Working knowledge of Windows and Open Systems operating systems, OS and storage virtualization technologies, local and wide area networking.
