* Gathers files from the client and consults with the client to gather data feed layouts.
* Creates load scripts using in-house tools.
* Works closely with the project implementation Business Analyst, to ensure that the end to end designs meet the business and data requirements.
* Works closely with the Implementation Manager to develop and update the task plan for ETL work, to keep the manager aware of any critical task issues and dependencies on other teams, and ensure that the end-to-end designs meet the business and data requirements.
* Deploys load scripts to productionized servers, and automating the load process.
Qualifications:
* Ability to work alone or as a team member. Must be self-motivated and require minimal management to complete tasks on time.
* Excellent communication skills are a necessity. This role will work directly with clients when gathering source files and file definitions.
* Ability to pick up and extend new technologies quickly.
* Degree in Computer Science or other related field, and five (5) or more years of relevant professional development experience.
* Ability to do ETL development using C# and SQL.
* Must have a sound understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, software development (C#) skills and reporting techniques.
* Must have experience in applications development using .NET, C#, SQL or other structured data source or database.
* Good knowledge and hands on experience working with data in multiple formats such as XML, CSV, Flat files and Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) and SQLite.
* Prior experience working with Pharmaceutical or Biotech Data is a plus.
* Although you will not need to use these tools for this position, experience with tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Cognos ReportNet/Impromptu or MicroStrategy would be a plus.
