Job Description:

T-Mobile is in the process of containerizing their services for all of their websites in order to reduce website outages and stabilize the infrastructure. The MetroPSC.com Web Services team is beginning the process of moving their website to Micro Services using Docker. All of T-Mobile’s websites will be moving to this model, but the MetroPCS website will be one of the first. The people hired for these open roles will have the opportunity to work on the innovation and build out of this process, as well as provide direct input on how this process should take place.

This team is just now being built out, so these 2 Java Developer's will be the first of 3 team members. The responsibilities of this role will be to assess the current landscape of the web services and drive the transformation to Micro Services. They will be leading onshore and offshore Spring Teams to direct the overflow of development work to them. T-Mobile is in the process of utilizing java as a main development language making this environment very open to input from these developers. As T-Mobile continues to innovate their environment, they will look to this team to help lead the way from a technical and process standpoint.

The main focus of this team will be to move the web services to a Micro Service model. This project will have a large impact on the way T-Mobile applications operate. This team will be helping to drive T-Mobile toward a CI/CD infrastructure, as well as helping transform the platform and the way applications interact with the platform they sit on.
