Job Description :

Skills & Responsibilities:
Planning, design and administration of IBM iSeries and IBM power platforms.

Provide day-to-day system administration support including usage monitoring, security administration, operating system and software installations, and initial system configuration.

Prepare and review system activity, security, and performance reports to ensure that systems are meeting availability and performance objectives.

Provide ongoing trend data for determining current needs and future resource requirements.

Provide recommendations to management on system upgrades, vendor products, and system enhancements.

Participate in and/or lead technology projects to successful completion.

Use skills and available resources to develop clear, complete technical and functional specifications and related documentation for the products and services supported.

Provide technical consultation services and analyze project requirements to develop supportable solutions to fulfill business needs.

Works with technical, operational, and functional areas to answer questions, resolve problems, and identify oppurtunities for efficiency gains.

Provide on-call support as needed to the systems under area of responsibility.
