Job Description :
Enhance and/or operate voice communications hardware and/or software in support of business needs and objectives. Oversees installation or enhancement (modification or conversion) of systems and diagnosis hardware and software problems. Participate in design, development and implementation of complex integration activities, often using new technologies. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource providing 3rd level support for operations teams. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from manager. Must have an understanding of how to identify and instill industry best practices.
Experience:
5+ years engineering experience supporting large complex Cisco voice implementations.
Solid knowledge of communications and networking theory; network design and tuning.
Solid knowledge of both IP based networks and ISDN networks required.
Extensive experience with voice infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts
Voice application infrastructure and standards
Practical knowledge of voice applications and voice infrastructure technologies (i.e. Cisco/Avaya)
Experience in prevailing industry voice architecture and engineering methodologies (MSF and ITIL preferred)
Qualifications:
Recent hands on experience with CUCM V9.x and 10.x
Recent hands on experience with Jabber
Recent hands on experience with TelePresence a plus
Design, installation and administration knowledge in Cisco UCM is essential (Avaya installation knowledge preferred)

Certifications:
Cisco Certifications (CCNA, etc.) preferred
