Java Application Developer

Job Description :
The SRE Critical team is looking for a talented software developer who will be co-responsible for the design and development of specific tools used by the team. Primary focus will be on the SRE ‘SNAP’ initiative aimed at automating the issue triage work, by leveraging existing and new data sources. Your work will be subjected to rigorous peer-reviews to ensure high quality and robust designs, code, and test. You will engage multiple PayPal organizations in a combined effort to achieve cohesion and adoption of tools and processes. This is a unique opportunity to impact the entire PayPal organization.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, hands-on developer that is passionate about implementing practical ways to increase both the quality of software and the efficiency of software development processes in large scale projects.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should have most of the following requirements:
• Strong hands-on Java/J2EE development skills (atleast 3 years)
• Experience with web technologies: HTML, Javascript, CSS, Bootstrap, Node.js, AngularJS
• Experience in working with complex multi-tier applications in large scale systems
• Must be quality and detailed oriented
• Highly energetic personality and great team player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Unix/Linux as well as “new” technologies like Kafka, Storm, MongoDB, Hadoop is a plus
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred but not required
