Job Description :
The Scrum Master facilitates the success of the team through coaching the team to solve problems, illuminating insights, removing impediments both within and outside of the team to enable the team to achieve their objectives. A Scrum Master derives their success through the team’s accomplishments and motivates the team to continually improve, bringing out the best in those around them. Projects will vary,
As a Scrum Master your key responsibilities will include:
• Following Developed Scrum Methodologies
• Coaching the team in self-organization and cross-functionality
• Removing impediments to the team’s progress to its sprint commitments
• Facilitating scrum events including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
• Enacting change continuous improvement to increase the productivity of the team and quality of deliverables
• Coaching the team in organizational environments in which scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood
• Ensure team execution and delivery to committed sprint work
• Protect team from over-commitment
Service to the Product Owner
• Following established techniques for effective Product Backlog management
• Creates forum for communicating vision, goals, and Product Backlog items to the team
• Ensuring Backlog items are clear and concise
• Understanding long-term product planning
A successful Scrum Master will:
• Collaborate and partner within and beyond their team; build productive relationships with others
• Communicate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside of the Sprint Team (Stakeholders, Executives). Motivate and model open communication to help surface issues for faster resolution
• Recognize and resolve obstacles to team efficiency and effectively enable their resolution
• Provide perspective to the team and keeps team focused on critical deliverables and tasks
